First, and foremost, the Savona Central School Alumni Group (SCSAG) is a Non-Profit Organization whose focus is to provide a place on the World Wide Web for Savona Central School graduates, and community people, to communicate and remain in contact.
Be aware that the SCSAG is not affiliated, in any way, with the Campbell-Savona Alumni Association (operated by the former Campbell Central School Alumni Assocication).
We DO NOT operate this site for personal or monetary gain. To that end, we DO NOT collect personal information for profit.
To restate our approach plainly, we DO NOT offer, sell, or otherwise distribute for profit, any personal information collected... PERIOD.
However, in operating a Web site with completely free Web-based services, we cannot be certain that each of these "free service providers" follows this same approach. So, it is each visitor's responsibility to remain diligent and aware of what information is collected / provided, and by whom.
Computer generated information...
 For each visitor to site, our Web "stats tracking" server may automatically recognize the user's domain name and/or e-mail address.
We may collect the domain name and e-mail address for site tracking and management purposes. The information that we collect is used for internal review and then promptly discarded.
"Cookies" (or bits of information stored on a server or client-side computer), we do not set cookies to, nor accept them from, your computer system.
If you do not want to receive e-mail from SCSAG, please contact us by one of the methods listed at the top of this page.
We do NOT provide e-mail addresses, physical addresses, or any other information, to non-graduates or organizations that sell products or services.
Internet third-party "free service providers" (i.e., jotform.com, email.com, nextgenstats.com, polls4free.com, byethost.com, orgfree.com, weatherwx.com, localendar.com, boards2go.com, google.com, guestbookking.com, paypal.com, topcities.com, freewebpage.org, freedback.com, esmartweb.com, electronic-greetings.com, spinchat.com, efreeguestbooks.com, accuweather.com, weather.com, or other linked Webpage(s)...), without our knowledge, may utilize personal information for solicitation. The policies of these free "third-party" service providers may change without notice, and by virtue of using them you take full responsibility for understanding the privacy policy of each non-SCS Alumni Website service.
Physical address and personal non-computer generated information...
If you supply the SCSAG with your physical -- or postal -- address, this information WILL NOT be placed/posted "in plain view," by our Webmaster, on any of our pages, or shared in any way. You are certainly welcome to post your own information in the Guest Book -- including "archives" -- or the Message Board sections, but the SCSAG takes no responsibility for the information posted there. However, physical address information sent in other ways will be kept from non-graduates, and other visitors, via a password-protected method controlled by the SCSAG. (note: as of 22 January 2015, the SCSAG uses a password-protected Google Drive account)
If you supply us with your postal address, you may receive mail from the SCSAG regarding alumni-related information. If you do not wish to receive this type of information, please contact us. When doing so, please provide your complete name and address. We will then remove your name from our mailing list during the next scheduled maintenance period.
Individuals who supply us with their telephone number on-line may receive telephone contact from us. If you do not wish to receive phone calls, please contact the SCSAG.
Again, we do NOT provide addresses, or any other information, to non-graduates or organizations that may peddle products or services. Additionally, we will NOT provide information to agencies, of any sort, requesting confirmation of graduation status, or other personal information.
Your right to request information collected...
Visitors / members of the SCS Alumni may prevent their information from being used, for purposes other than those for which it was originally provided / collected, by contacting us at any time. Upon such a request, we will provide the requestor with access to all information -- including proprietary data -- that we maintain regarding the requestor. If you wish to have personal information removed, please provide specific details -- i.e., the exact information and where you found it, by its webpage address... or Uniform Resource Locator (URL) -- when contacting the SCSAG.
Visitors can access this information by sending an e-mail to us at the address show, at both the beginning and end of this page.
Additionally, we offer visitors the ability to have "factual inaccuracies" corrected (those which are within our control), regarding the requestor's collected / displayed information.
Future changes to this policy...
In the future, we may use visitor information for new, and/or unanticipated, opportunities not previously disclosed in our privacy notice (as listed above).
If our information practices change, this Web-based policy will be updated. Also, the main page (i.e., "index.html" page) will make reference to this change for one month, or more. You will have the opportunity to "opt-out" of any new program, at any point, regarding our use of your personal information.
Again, if you wish to have your personal information removed, please provide specific details (i.e., the exact information and where you found it, by its webpage address... or URL) when contacting the SCSAG.
If you believe that the SCS Alumni Group (SCSAG) is not following this "Privacy Policy," you may contact us at your convenience.
When doing so, please place "SCS Alumni Privacy Policy" in the subject line of your e-mail. Thank you.
